Week One: N. California
We visit Benton Hot Springs, climb Tioga pass in Yosemite, (very slowly in the van.) We play a bit in Berkeley, tell the college students to drop out, and break down for about a day. Then on to Solfest, a sustainability festival in Hopland, CA. Then it's on to a Redwood Forest.~FHM

The Northwest Coast. We're not sure we'll make it to Seattle because we're running low on clean veggie oil. A lot of busking and shows. We play a house party at my cousin's. We spill some vegetable oil and make a mess in my cousin's driveway. Yikes!!! ~FHM

We cleanup spilled oil at my cousin's house, play a lot in Portland: an open mic at the Alberta Street Tavern, the Bagdahd Theater, and a great show at The World Famous Kenton Club with a multi-instrumentalist named Russell. Everything is going great until my guitar is stolen!!! ~FHM

Different Drummer Tour

Week One: Silver City, New Mexico
My previous drummer quits unexpectedly 10 days before this tour of the Southwest. Instead of canceling the tour, I decide to get a drummer to sit in from each town on the tour. We call it the "Different Drummer Tour." The first stop is Silver City, New Mexico for Halloween weekend. Gabriel plays drums with us. You might see the ghost of Billy The Kid at Javalina's Cafe where we play!
